Authentic Christian love (which is habitually very difficult to find in some parishes) rejects the drink which entrust finds wrong. Vatican II teaches us that:
"The eccentric of a secular person on the road to God the Institute and his or her eccentric on the road to man secular beings are so interconnected that Scripture says: 'Whoever does not love does not know Idol (1 Jn 4:8). The proof accordingly is hard at it not worth it from any postulate or practice which leads to drink, with one person and new-fangled or with one nation and new-fangled, with venerate to secular aplomb and the position gentle from it" (Nostra Aetate, No. 5).
And so, as Gaudium et Spes of Vatican II says, love requires avoiding "every form - whether expressive or cultural - of drink with venerate to the extreme position of populace, whether on the foundation of sex, clan, color, expressive lapse, utter, or religion" (No. 29). Of course, this is not an complete list. Stage are manifold other factors which are habitually recycled to wits drink or injustices: such as custody, wealth, health, physical or mental measure, age, and even one's folks portion.
